OOTB 667 – Thursday 19th April – Ali Tod

Ali TodOut of the Bedroom #667 is this Thursday, 19th April. We had an excellent 666 – keeping the forces of darkness at bay (most of the time, we shone the lights in the audience more brightly) – and are again at Woodland Creatures from 8.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. ? Entry is free and sign up for an open mic slot is from 7.30 p.m., with 10 to 15 minutes per act depending on the number of performers. Original music only for the open slots and all music lovers, dreamers, writers, knitters, creatives, anti-folkies, folkies and layabouts are welcome to come along and enjoy the evening.

Feature act for #667 is the mighty Ali Tod. Ali is classically trained, but has a genre-defying style that is far flung from the classical guitar. With heavy influence from artists such as Rodrigo y Gabriela and KT Tunstall, Ali has developed a unique blend of percussive guitar and loop mastery, to create an original sound that gets hands clapping, hips shaking and feet stomping.

The review for #666 on 5th April can be found on the OOTB website and Malcolm’s photos from the evening can be found on our Facebook page. Line up was: Jim Bryce, Euan Glasgow, Pink Kudu, Impossible Songs, Bill Phillip, The Old Town Rambler, Suzanne Dyson, Michael, Skip the Android, Savona, Ali Tod, feature act: Scott Candlish.

See you at Woodland Creatures this Thursday…
